Lagu Favorit Zacky Vengeance Saat Latihan

Zacky Vengeance mengakui bahwa permainan gitar favoritnya dalam lagu metal, salah satunya adalah Guns N Roses-Sweet Child O’ Mine, ia mengatakannya di majalah Guitar World terbitan 2011 yang menampilan daftar “100 Greatest Rock Guitar Songs”, dan lagu Guns N Roses tersebut menempati urutan ke-4 lagu terfavorit.

“Saat album GNR- Appetite for Destruction keluar saya masih sangat muda, tapi saya ingat melihat video mereka dan melihat GNR, Axl dengan jaket kulit putihnya dan Slash dengan topi khasnya dan botol Jack D, dan saat itupun saya terpukau. Video tersebut sangat mudah diingat dan lebih keren dari pada band seperti Poison”.

“Riff di bagian intronya sangat sempurna. Dan setelah itu saya langsung saja belajar memainkannya dengan gitar, sama seperti semua orang. Kemudian Matt dan saya menulis album pertama kami Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, dan Guns N’ Roses adalah pengaruh terbesar kami. Sound kami lebih hardcore dan underground pada saat itu, tapi kami masih menyukai GNR, karena disamping kami menginginkan sound yang cepat dan berat kami juga ingin mempunyai riff gitar yang keren seprti ‘November Rain’,‘Estranged’ dan ‘Sweet Child.
Untuk beberapa alasan saya sangat menyukai permainan gitar band Metallica  atau Iron Maiden, tapi saya selalu memainkan Sweet Child O’ Mine saat latihan; saya duduk dan selalu memainkannya. Ini riff yang sederhana, tapi keren sekali orang yang bisa menciptakan ide seperti ini”.
